Professional Summary
From an early age Pauls musical ability has stood out from the crowd. He started learning music at the age of eight and went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music at age eleven under the watchfull eyes of world renowned composers and conductors.
In classical composition he has won numerous awards including the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society prize in 95,and performed on national television and radio.
His ballet work Mahayana premiered by the Siobhan Davies dance company at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival won the Huddersfield Festival Young Composers Award.
Paul participated extensively in masterclasses with Witold Lutoslawski and Oliver Knussen. His principal studies in composition took place with Param Vir and George Benjamin.
The world premiere of his W.H.Auden settings was premiered at St Johns Smiths Square London. Paul also came runner up for residency with Academy of St Martins In The Fields with Sir Neville Mariner.
Paul has completed a large repertoire of new work for his imprint microdot mainly electronic compositions at his microdot studio, recently Opposite Reality Check was premiered in 2007 by Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1.
His literary work is a subsequent semi finalist in the International Library of Poetry.
Paul recieved a personal response from HRH Queen Elizabeth on her 81st birthday for his work Invisible.Among other works former priminister Tony Blair enjoyed Space One and present priminister Gordon Brown enjoyed Opposite Reality Check.
Paul is also an active analyst/artist/web developer/programmer and photographer.
