Professional Summary

Dr. Robert Gougaloff has been described by colleagues as "A clinician and researcher that is never comfortable unless he delivers ultimate quality to his patients or pushes the envelope in the research and development of advanced dental concepts." While this is certainly the truth, and Dr. Gougaloff has consistently demonstrated a commitment to education and excellent dentistry, he remains a balanced individual that is reluctant to discuss his own personal achievements and successes.

Born in Berlin, Germany, Robert Gougaloff completed his high school education at Kant Gymnasium, then moved to Los Angeles to being university studies at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA). There, he majored in Life Sciences, and earned his bachelor’s degree. Shortly thereafter, he was accepted into the renowned Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate in Dentistry. Following his formal education, he began a full-time residency at Loma Linda University at the Center for Oral Implantology, which lasted three years. He earned a certificate specialty degree in Oral Implantology from this experience, and also obtained a specialty certification in Microsurgery. While at Loma Linda University Mr. Gougaloff was able to take advantage of some General Anesthesia training and subsequently obtained a certificate in IV sedation. In his quest to further his education and continue learning, Dr. Gougaloff would later obtain certification for Laser Surgery for Oral Applications.

Today Dr. Robert Gougaloff is the owner and president of Gemini Dental Enterprises, Inc., a company that operates as a contracting platform for numerous healthcare related activities. Prior to establishing Gemini Dental Enterprises, Inc., Dr. Gougaloff worked in a diversity of management and individual contributor positions at companies and establishments. Mr. Gougaloff today works primarily as an independent contractor at Redondo Beach Dental Group and as a clinical and research advisor to USA Laser Biotech, Inc.

Something To Post On The Fridge…

Dear Mom and Dad, I am just a kid, so  please…

Do not talk badly about my other parent. (This makes me feel torn apart!  It also makes me feel bad about myself!)
Do not talk badly about my other parent’s friends or relatives.  (Let me care for someone, even if you don’t.)

Don’t take the bait !!!

I have made the discovery over the last few years that an alienating parent with narcissistic tendencies will often try to throw some “bait” at the target parent (usually right in front of the children).  What is “bait”?  Any kind of challenging comment that when responded to can ignite a... more »

How many dental implants do I need to get rid of my denture?

This can be a tricky question.  First, I am going to assume that you want a fixed appliance or at least an appliance that gives you the same chewing power as a fixed appliance.  There are many people that do fine with removable dentures (plates), but then there are others, who really suffer with... more »
