Rear Admiral (ret.) Italian Navy and historian of ancient Rome, mainly focusing on the naval and maritime aspects, starting from the value of sea power for the needs of the great strategy.
My first historical work was "CLASSICA", a naval and maritime history of ancient Rome in twelve volumes, published by the Rivista Marittima - the monthly magazine of the Italian Navy - in twelve years (1992-2003).
