Professional Summary

Trained as an anthropologist, I have worked on various aspects of development cooperation, international aid and relief globally since the early 1980s. I have held permanent positions with Rural Development and Health Center Foundation (a Bangladeshi NGO), University of Zurich and, most recently, with the World Bank, and consulted for numerous multilateral and bilateral donors and organizations in public sector, civil society and the private sector.
Presently I am CEO, Supras Consult (www.supras.biz) which provides advisory, project management and research services. There is a focus on the human resources and natural resources sectors. For details see Supras' Capability Statement (link on home page).
I am also Coordinator, Community-Based Natural Resource Management Network (CBNRM Net, www.cbnrm.net), a global community of practice for people working on CBNRM as bureaucrats, evaluators, funders, managers, politicians and practitioners.

Forum South (Forum Sør, www.forumsor.no) is a network of and for institutions, NGOs and organizations, in civil society, the private sector and the public sector, that work on development cooperation, humanitarian aid and North-South relations. Forum South covers the Agder region in southern Norway.
