• Led the development for an active RFID equipment manufacturer of their RFP response to the DoD’s RFID III project. The result to date is that the hardware manufacturer won a supplier position with two of the four prime contractors competing for the $434MM IDIQ contract.
• Led the design and “proof of concept” activities for the application of RFID (radio frequency identification) enabled asset management in the manufacturing operations for three separate companies, the application of RFID in yard management for one company, the application of RFID in a marine terminal for one company, and the application of ultrasound technology (substitute for RFID) in to hospitals. For one company, this will reduce equipment losses ($700,000), improve asset utilization, and cut annual labor expense by $100,000.
• Evaluated the supply chain execution practices of a $100 million candy manufacturer. The study resulted in concrete plans for the client to improve their retail compliance, space utilization, and warehouse operations.
• Evaluated the symptoms and events in three different lawsuits and delivered my analysis as to root causes. In each case, my clients won their case (or settled in their favor).

ESYNC
/ Director of Supply Chain Integration
2000 -
2002
• Crafted the Supply Chain Integration Services practice for a boutique consulting firm. Practice included supply chain integration, warehouse management systems selection and integration, transportation management systems selection and integration, business process improvement, and supporting technical services.
Con-Way Logistics
/ Director of Technology / CIO
1998 -
2000
• Crafted the overall business workflow and systems architecture for a new, start-up third party logistics company. The implementation of this strategy enabled the new company to grow to over $150 million and from four initial facilities in three states to over a dozen facilities across all of North America within 4 years.
• Led the purchasing negotiation for multiple software and hardware systems. This effort resulted in better than market pricing (saving over $1 million), expansion based payments that deferred capital expenditures (deferred $800,000+ until new facilities came one line), and provided multi-site licenses without any added costs.
• Assisted in the crafting of company marketing material (beyond just the systems oriented materials) and helped deliver the company message in multiple situations. The company grew to $150 million in revenue within four years.
