* With only a short functional overview of the QualysGuard web application interface, rapidly learned and understood QualysGuard web application code and database schema design. Accomplished over 80 bug fixes and application updates in 3 months with little supervision. Helped solve and fix other team member's QualysGuard 4.0 bugs.

* Designed and implemented new Asset Search Portal feature for QualysGuard 4.0. This project required in-depth knowledge of the application database schema, as well as significant understanding of the application's programming framework. Created custom queries and optimized database queries and stored procedures in order to handle large data search needs. This provided accelerated performance for key customers that have large networks.

* Enhanced QWEB application workflow by designing and implementing a framework for managing user workflow. Integrated this workflow feature into several sections of the application, allowing customers to efficiently execute user tasks.

* Translate Marketing requirements into Feature Specification Documents by researching, designing, and documenting design changes needed in order to implement the new application features.

* Upgraded the corporate website to be more data driven, allowing for consistent display of content and a significantly decreased time to add new data to the website. In addition, this extraction of corporate website data to data files allowed for instant layout changes, as well as new features such as auto update and publication of press releases and events. This upgrade also allowed for the website to be driven by a Content Management System.

* Built, designed, and implemented the corporate intranet webserver. Configured Apache, mounted NFS and Samba shares in a Linux environment, and implemented a revolutionary "self maintainable" intranet webserver, allowing authorized department staff to maintain and immediately update their own intranet webserver content. Designed and implemented HTML, CSS styles, and PHP code that could read in data from the mounted file system directories, parse that information, and display that content in a collapsible, hierarchical columned view. In addition, created a cron job to create audit trail for new or updated content.

* Upgraded FreeScan, Sans20, and FreeMap applications' look and feel, as well as provided several code bug fixes. Researched and proposed a new application design for the FreeX applications that would significantly reduce application update time by 66%, as well as provide complete internationalization support.

* Designed a completely new public website (www.csointerchange.org) that leveraged existing corporate website design and publication techniques to decrease the website time to market.

* Maintained content for the corporate website using Bugzilla, CVS, and an rsync based content prestaging and publishing system. Took Photoshop website mockups, converted them into HTML, and built PHP class objects to implement new corporate website sections.

* Took loose Marketing requirements, refined them, and translated them into dynamic PHP web pages

* Worked with 30+ customers to build custom database driven travel websites based on the Vignette StoryServer platform serving over 1,000,000 page views per month.

* Designed, built, and maintained interfaces that allowed for the importing and exporting of destination information. Designed an XML specification for destination content exporting and assisted customers in parsing the XML information and integrating it into their own content systems. Built in content configurations allowing for significant customer content customizations without any code rewrites.

Pushed the limits of Vignette's StoryServer software and provided helpful feedback to their development teams.

* Designed, built, and maintained the internal content management system which allowed multiple content writers to create, publish, expire, and delete content on multiple live public websites. Developed content writer training guideline documents for effectively using the content management system.

* Worked on integrating multiple content sources into Atevo's travel website. Designed, built, and maintained Perl scripts that gathered and parsed weather and currency information and made database updates. Integrated external reservations systems and driving direction information seamlessly into the website. Designed and built the database structure and programs used to import the content into Atevo's content database.

* Worked in a team of six to black box test the NEC SOHO dial-up device.

* Set up internal networks using UNIX, Windows computers, and modem pools in order to test the hardware.
